While I haven't been in charge of organising an Extrav, I have sat in on gradstock (the GSA's Extrav) planning meetings and helped make it happen on the night.

I also have a huge amount of related experience, from chairing the Lancaster District Diversity Festival and helping to organise it's opening and closing events to organising Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations at Lancaster Town Hall. I've organised festivals and carnivals as far back as 1997 when I was still in school. I've also had technical roles in major productions, including one experience as assistant stage manager at Melbourne's International Convention Center. I don't thing Extrav's will be a problem, but like other things I think colleges should remain in control with LUSU providing support. The red tape needs to be reduced and simplified.
